When you could use an extra hand… reach for the Piper Backup Wrench!

The Piper Backup Wrench is Developed for the Craftsman

It allows the craftsman a safe and effective way to get the job done. With The Piper Backup Wrench and one standard wrench, the craftsman can balance and position himself better. It also means easier access to nuts in tight spaces. When your craftsmen are using The Piper Backup Wrench tool, they can work with the assurance that it will stay where it is needed. It holds on to the nut securely even on the underside of flanges. The safety chain prevents it from falling out of reach when being installed and removed.

It’s all in the design

The unique spring loaded ball plunger mechanism holds The Piper Backup Wrench securely in place whether in use on the top of a flange or underneath. And the simplicity of the overall design allows us to produce specialty sizes when standard sizes don’t meet your needs. It is cast from 8630 steel alloyed with nickel, chrome, and molybdenum. After machining, the tools are carburized, quenched, and tempered to 34-36RC. The finished strength levels are: 150,000 lbs per square inch Tensile – 125,000 lbs per square inch Yield.

The Piper Backup Wrench tools can be purchased individually or in standard sets. A 6-tool set will accommodate ½” to 20” class 150#, and ½” to 12” class 300# flanges.
